Zemini

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 3, 2026

The short version

  • Your photos are used to make the edit you asked for, nothing else. We never sell them and we do not use them to advertise to you.
  • You sign in with Google. We keep your name, email and picture, not your Google password.
  • Every prompt, upload and result passes an automated safety check before you see it.
  • You can delete your account and everything in it yourself, at any time, from Settings or from the deletion page linked below.

Who is responsible for your data

Zemini ("we", "us") operates the website at https://zemini.ai and the Zemini mobile application (together, the "Service"). This policy covers both. Whenever we say "you" we mean the person using the Service. Questions about this policy go to support [at] zemini.ai.

What we collect, why, and for how long

We collect only what the Service needs to work. The table lists each kind of data, the reason we hold it and how long it stays with us.

Your photos, videos and results

Uploads and results are stored in private cloud storage so that we can process them and show them back to you in your history. They are not public, not searchable and not shared with other users. We do not train AI models on your photos, and we do not hand them to advertisers or data brokers. Staff may look at an individual image only when it is needed to investigate a safety report, an abuse pattern or a support request you sent us.

Deleting a result from your history removes the file from storage. Deleting your account removes all of your uploads and results together with the account itself.

AI processing and automated safety checks

Zemini edits and generates images and short videos using machine-learning models. Some of these models run on infrastructure operated by third-party AI providers; your upload and prompt are sent to them for the single purpose of producing your result and are not retained by us on their side beyond processing.

To enforce our content rules, prompts are screened by an automated text classifier and uploaded and generated images are screened by an automated image-safety classifier before a result is shown. Content that fails a check is blocked. Repeated attempts to produce prohibited content are logged against the account and may lead to suspension. No human reviews your content as part of this automated screening.

Signing in with Google

Sign-in is handled by Google through Firebase Authentication. Google tells us your name, email address and profile picture; we never see or store your Google password. Google's own privacy policy governs what Google does with your sign-in activity.

Cookies, local storage and similar technology

We set a small number of first-party items in your browser: a session token so you stay signed in, and preferences such as your chosen theme. These are strictly necessary for the Service to work and do not track you across other websites. You can clear them from your browser at any time; you will simply be signed out.

Analytics and advertising

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and understand which tools are used, so that we can improve the Service. If we show advertising (for example through Google AdSense on the website or Google AdMob in the app), the advertising partner may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, in line with its own policy. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before any advertising or non-essential cookies are loaded, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. You can also control ad personalisation in your Google account settings.

Who we share data with

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, and only what each one needs:

  • Authentication: Google / Firebase, for sign-in.
  • Hosting and storage: cloud infrastructure providers that host our servers and store your files.
  • AI processing: model providers that generate your edits, as described above.
  • Payments: if you buy a paid plan, a payment processor handles your card details; we never receive your full card number.
  • Legal requirements: we may disclose data when a law, court order or government request requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Where your data is processed

Our servers and storage are located in data centres operated by our cloud providers, which may be outside the country you live in. Wherever data is processed, it is protected by the safeguards described in this policy and by our contracts with those providers.

How we protect it

All traffic to Zemini is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Files are stored in access-controlled buckets that are not publicly listable. Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate the Service. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data and we will tell you if a breach affects you.

Children

Zemini is not directed at children. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices and rights

  • See your data: your history shows every upload and result we hold for you.
  • Delete a result: remove any item from your history and the file is deleted from storage.
  • Delete your account: use Settings in the app or website, or open the account deletion page linked from the app. Deletion is permanent and removes your account, uploads, results and payment records.
  • Access, correction, portability, objection: depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or India's DPDP Act. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
  • Marketing: we only send product emails you can opt out of with one click; we never send marketing on behalf of others.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and adjust the effective date at the top. For significant changes we will also notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
